After much deliberation about when to get out -- the weather report kept changing -- a friend and I met up this morning and started our ride from Grove City. We went through Darbyville and on down to Deer Creek Dam, then back up into Mt. Sterling for lunch. After lunch we headed west for a bit and came back through Big Plain, Harrisburg, and Orient for a total of 71 miles. Yes, I'm 71 today, and feel as good as I ever did. In spite of the wind and cold, we averaged about 14 mph.

Ok, I'm usually a pretty positive person, but you know what I hate? I can't stand all these weathermen, news and sportscasters who think it's cool to use those large touch screen monitors that allow them to whip images around like Tom Cruise on Minority Report. Dude, the story is not about you, so get out of the way! When you want to show me the weather, put it on my screen. You might think you look cool swiping crap left and right with your finger, making it big or small. Well, you don't. And to top it off, you are pissing me off. Why, because I can't see! The purpose of a large display is for my bad eyes, not your nifty wrist movements.
Give me a break. Where's my radio?
